Add AC Repair and Service to Your Spring To-Do List

Spring is finally here. We’re awfully sure your to-do list already feels overly long, but we have a handful of things that might save you some trouble and keep you comfy in the months to come. The weather is beginning to heating up in Englewood and the last thing you want is to find out is that you’re in need of AC repair. Going through this simple checklist now could save you from sweating this summer.

  1. Inspect Your Air Filter and Ducts
Changing your air filter makes it to almost all of our lists of tips because it's so important and so often forgotten. If your air filter is a mess, your system will have to work harder to keep you comfortable. This costs you more money and causes more work on the system which decreases the life and efficiency of your system. Your ducts and registers are a separate piece of the puzzle that is often overlooked as well. While you're spring cleaning, pull off the covers from your registers and vacuum inside them. While you have the covers taken off, soak them in mild dish soap, give them a scrub and replace them after they've dried.
  2. Clean Your Outdoor Unit
Keep any outdoor units cleared of debris such as grass clippings, leaves or plant overgrowth. This debris can clog your system and cause it to decrease its efficiency.
  3. Schedule Your Annual AC Tune-Up
This is where we enter the picture to help you tackle that to-do list. An annual AC tune-up prolongs the life of your system and keeps it working at peak efficiency. Spring is the perfect time to schedule your tune-up so any issues or AC repair that needs to be made can be taken care of before the hot summer months. The cost of a tune-up is a little investment into the life of your system. Think of it as giving your air conditioner an oil change.

We can't help you with the entirety of your spring to-do list, but we can help you with all things involving your home comfort. We want to make sure you’re cool and comfortable all summer long.
